Impact Her World Foundation Launches DIGNIFY ME Campaign to Reach 1,000,000 Girls with Period Kits Across Nigeria

Lagos, Nigeria — Impact Her World Foundation has launched the DIGNIFY ME Campaign, a bold national initiative designed to improve access to period care products for girls in public schools, urban slums, rural communities, Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps, and other vulnerable conditions across Nigeria.

The campaign, which officially kicks off on October 6, 2025, seeks to reach 1,000,000 young girls with free period kits, a step aimed at enhancing their health, wellbeing, dignity, and overall period experience. By addressing menstrual poverty, the initiative hopes to reduce school absenteeism, boost girls’ confidence, and break the stigma surrounding menstruation.

“Too many girls in Nigeria miss out on school, opportunities, and self-confidence because they lack access to basic menstrual products. With DIGNIFY ME, we believe young girls deserves a healthy menstrual experience, dignity, comfort, and equal opportunity to thrive and works towards achieving that” said Nkechika Ibe, Executive Director of Impact Her World Foundation.

The DIGNIFY ME campaign combines both fundraising and product drives, encouraging individuals, communities, and corporate partners to donate sanitary pads or funds. These donations will be used in producing the period kits which will be distributed directly to girls in need, with a focus on schools, displaced communities, and remote areas.

Members of the public can support the campaign by:

  • Donating and sending of sanitary pads to our office at 10 Oladimeji Street Aguda Surulere Lagos, Nigeria (Designated collection points across Lagos and Nigeria will be updated soon).
  • Making financial contributions via the campaign’s online platform (https://ihwf.org.ng/donate/).
  • Joining the conversation on social media with the hashtag #DignifyMe #periodcarecampaign #combatingperiodpoverty #menstrualhealthandhygiene

Through this campaign, Impact Her World Foundation is calling on government, civil society, private organizations, and individuals to stand together in ending menstrual poverty and restoring dignity to every girl.
